In 1979 the country was brought to its knees by the c**t and her 2-bit cabinet, saved later only by the flag waving, 'rule Britania' singing show boating that followed the Falklands conflict. Her and her obscene policies caused more damage to society and industry than Adolf could have ever dreamed of,some of which we are still suffering from now,so when the bastard finally croaks I too will enjoy a drink, mine will be Champagne, simply because the world will be rid of one of vilest people ever to have taken breath.

With all due respect - in 1979 the country was in a shambles, after Ted, Harold & James had got their hands on it. When the lady in question finally went, Britain's place in the world was at its highest since the end of the WWII. Like her or loathe her, she is undoubtably our best post war PM.
PS. I lived through the 70s, 3 day week, no power, no water, wild-cat shrikes for more cash by lazy workers, when the night shift was asleep and productivity was at an all time low, devalued £, - I worked in British Steel - I saw first hand what little was done. GB was the laughing stock of Europe. Even the Froggies & Italians did more work than us.
Read your history and all will be revealed. I didn't agree with her methods but they worked!

not to mention she flogged everything the country owned to fund the huge tax cuts for the stinking rich whilst others faced the dole, closure of the coal pits and importing coal from south America and Africa at a higher price than it was obtainable locally (strangely enough there are rumours that coal mining in the UK will ressurect?),huge unemployment (is it a coincidence that the torries are back in and unemployment WILL rise?).

Meriwether, you're confusing proper history books with Bernard Cribbens reading 'Stig of the Concentration Camp' on Jackanory.
Enlighten us Clive, what were you doing having tea and biscuits with Milk Snatcher? I can't ever remember her making any prison visits?

The current banking crisis is also attributed to her policies,in the 1980's she de-regulated the British banking system, giving them the freedom to do as they pleased .Foreign banks looked at the way the UK's banking system worked and thought 'shit,we need to get onto that band-wagon'.With all the unregulated bankers (I thought that word started with a w) doing dodgy deals, offering loans and mortgages to businesses and people that had no way or intention of repaying them, then selling the bad debt off to other banks and financial institutions, all ending up in the total collapse of the financial system. And guess what? the bankers still make a fortune by fleecing the masses, whilst the masses pay for the fortunes of the minority. All in true Tory style. Oh how hate the bastard.
